The 1880 Train is another attraction very close to Black Hills Trailside Park Resort.  Why drive when you can see the Black Hills of South Dakota by rail! You will be amazed by the breathtaking scenes you will witness on this vintage steam train. The unforgettable ride lasts two hours and fifteen minutes round trip.

 

During your stay with us you will experience the beauty of the George S. Mickelson Trail, which spans 109 miles from Edgemont to Deadwood, South Dakota. The Mickelson Trail has gentle slopes which allow people of all ages and abilities to enjoy it’s beauty all year long. If you enjoy exercise you will want to join in the Deadwood Mickelson Trail Marathon that is being held June 1, 2014.

 

If you are looking for family attractions there are plenty of  entertaining and educational locations and activities for all ages in the Black Hills area.
